NEW YORK CITY!

Fri, 03/16/2012 - 1:03pm | General | Travel | 0 comments

I recently had the opportunity to go visit my little brother in New York City! I had only been to NYC twice before, and both of those visits were for New Years Eve. So I was excited to visit at a time that I thought would be a bit less hectic. Maybe I'm just older now, but it still felt hectic. :-) I've lived in Los Angeles and currently am in Chicago, both very large cities. But there is just something different about New York. Depending on what neighborhood you're in and when, there really is always something going on. It is an amazing place to visit and here are just a few things that were on our itinerary:

-Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, Penn Station

-Seeing old friends from my time in LA

Antigua

My wife Christina and I got married back in July, but just last week went our honeymoon to Antigua. Getting out of Chicago in January is always a welcome break, most especially when going someplace as beautiful as Antigua! We had never stayed at an all-inclusive and are so grateful we chose to stay at the Sandals Grande Antigua. The beaches, the pools, the restaraunts, the staff...everything was top notch. I can say in all honesty, it was the first time I've ever eaten (and LOVED) salmon. There is something about being on an island in the caribbean. In our 9 days there we met some amazing people; both native islanders as well as other couples also vacationing at Sandals.

Being from Ohio, I always welcome the opportunity to head back home to photograph many of the family and friends I know from the 20+ years I lived there. Even when I was living in Los Angeles, and now in Chicago, Ohio has always been home to me. I'm originally from a small town called Springboro, which is about 45 minutes north of Cincinnati, and 25 minutes south of Dayton. When I travel home to shoot, I'm usually in these areas, but am open to traveling to other locations within the state as well. My next trip back to the Cincinnati/Dayton area is October the 12th through the 17th. The fall colors will be turning and this is the perfect time to get those family photographs done for your Christmas cards!
